This abstract explores my candidacy as an individual applying for the job of a Tax Consultant for Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. Based on a comprehensive analysis of both the job description and my qualifications. I currently hold six months of related experience, with over six years of customer service related experience relating to military families. My experience working with military families provides valuable insights on military life, aligning with the job requirements to understand military specific terminologies and fostering trusting relationships. I will also soon be an EA at the tax firm I work for.

I am a prospective candidate for the Tax Consultant position at Zeiders Enterprises, possessing six months of experience as a tax accountant and on track to meet the required two years. Upon graduating in August with a degree in leadership and a minor in finance, I will fufill the educational qualifications for the role. My background includes customer service roles as a live-in nanny and bartender, enhancing my ability to build relationships effectively. Having worked with military families as a nanny, I have a good understanding of military lifestyle nuances. This experience aligns with the job’s emphasis on understanding military-specific tax issues, cultural sensitivity, and developing trusting relationships. With a customer-focused approach and insights into military life, I am well prepared to provide tailored tax consulting services to support military families manage their finances.

The Purpose of this Position. The purpose of the Tax Consultant position at Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. is to provide support and assistance to military members and their families through the Military OneSource program. The main responsibilities of the role include; assisting participants with tax filing questions and helping them complete their tax returns, understanding military-specific tax issues and providing relevant information and education to participants, and referring and connecting participants to government-provided free electronic tax filing services. As well as assisting participants in accessing resources available to them based on their specific situations, documenting all tax consultation cases in the government’s electronic case management system (eCMS), obtaining participants' customer feedback post-consultation, and maintaining contractually mandated training requirements. This role does not involve directly preparing tax documentation for participants but focuses on providing guidance, support, and resources related to tax matters within the military context. This position allows for remote work (hybrid) and support is provided via video conference, telephone, or chat.

I will be graduating in August with a bachelor’s degree in leadership and a minor in finance, providing me with the

 educational background required for the position. I am also currently studying daily to be a licensed Enrolled Agent, which is a person who has the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. My diverse work experience, including six years as a live-in and full-time nanny and three years as a bartender, has honed my customer service skills and ability to build relationships effectively. Having worked with military families during my time as a nanny, I have developed a deeper understanding of the unique challenges and lifestyle associated with military service. This firsthand experience has equipped me with valuable insights that I can leverage in providing tax consulting services tailored to the needs of military families. With a solid foundation in finance, a customer-centric approach, and a genuine understanding of military life, I am confident in my ability to excel in this role and contribute positively to Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. I am eager to continue growing in my tax consulting career and to apply my skills and experiences to support service members and their families in navigating their financial responsibilities.
